Visiting and EWR member engines
NTET/Northern/Southern Federation and 71/4 Gauge Society certificates
Owners visiting EWR with their engines or road vehicles shall provide valid documentary evidence of boiler tests in accordance with ‘The Examination & Testing of Miniature Steam Boilers’ (Green Book).
This evidence shall include the following and relate to the boiler identification/serial number.

Written scheme of Examination

Certificate of Hydraulic test

Certificate of Steam test

Or NTET Disk
Items 2 and 3 must display an expiration date of the test that conforms to the validity period detailed in paragraph 12.5 of ‘The Examination & Testing of Miniature Steam Boilers’ for that particular type of boiler.
Commercial certificates
Owners who present commercial certification at the EWR shall present the written scheme of examination together with current thorough examination and supplementary test certificates duly completed to the provisions laid out in the PSSR 2000 legislation and conducted to a written scheme drawn up by an inspection authority affiliated to the Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed) or by the National Traction Engine Trust.
In addition to the above, the owner of any visiting engine or road vehicle must also provide evidence of holding current public liability insurance.

An EWR member’s or resident engine or road vehicle is an engine that has valid boiler certificates issued by an EWR boiler inspector or a commercial inspection carried out to a written scheme drawn up by an Inspection authority affiliated to the Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed) or National Traction Engine Trust and used at EWR for Passenger carrying duties. These engines or Road Vehicles will be covered by EWR Public liability insurance.

A visiting engine or road vehicle is any engine or road vehicle that is not covered in (a) above. These engines or road vehicles will not be covered by EWR public liability insurance.
Inspection of certification :- Shall be carried out by a boiler inspector, senior member of the committee or an appointed person who is familiar with the certification and has a model engineering background, any doubt in approving a certificate or documentation should be discussed with a boiler inspector
