Summer Operating Timetable Commences Sunday 5th May.

Easter Bank Holiday.

April 10th 11th 12th 13th - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Public Passenger Trains will run during these dates between 11am until 4:30pm

Early May Bank Holiday.

May 8th 9th 10th. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Public Passenger trains operating on these dates between 11am and 4:30pm.

Miniature Traction Engine Gathering. Click Here

May 15th 16th 17th Miniature steam road vehicles will be gathering by the stations at Harvesters and Far Leys. Their operating area will be on the park road network giving the public the opportunity to have a ride and talk to the drivers /owners. The railway will be operating public passenger trains during Saturday & Sunday From 11am until 4:30pm.

Spring Bank Holiday.

May 23rd 24th 25th Saturday, Sunday, Monday Public Passenger Trains will operate during these days between 11am and 4-30pm, Why not have a picnic in the park by the railway stations and just watch the trains go by!

Anybody who has attempted to book in will be contacted in due course. Other events are also under review.

July 12th 13th 14th. This event is open to members, friends, visitors and 7 1/4”gauge members who are owners and drivers of standard gauge locos. All locomotives and rolling stock operating over this weekend will be models based upon railways with a standard gauge of four foot eight and a half inches. (1/8th scale)   Featuring visiting and locomotives based at the EWR.  Look out for different types of passenger and freight trains, along with a breakdown crane!  Public passenger trains will operating on Sunday 14th July until 4:30pm

See our website and Facebook page for full event and booking details. Passengers wishing to see Santa are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. During 2019, most trains were fully booked by early October!!!

September 18th 19th 20th   Echills Wood Railway will be hosting the 2020 gathering for the 7 1/4’’ Gauge Society. This event will feature both visiting and EWR based locomotives and rolling stock.

Public trains will only operate Sunday 20th Sept  between 11am and 4:30pm

October Saturday 31st  Are you brave enough to ride the line on the scariest night of the year? Watch out for witches, monsters and other spooky surprises all around the line. The railway will be operating between 2pm and 8pm. Hot & Cold refreshments will be available from 2:00pm. External attractions and entertainment feature as part of this event. Those easily scared are advised not to ride after 5:00pm

Winter Timetable Commences Sunday 1st November.

All public passenger trains on regular operating days will commence at 11am until 3:00pm.
(Except for Santa Special train weekends) Closing times will be at the discretion of the Duty Controller each day.

December 5th & 68th  -  124th & 135th   The first two weekends in December sees the railway’s popular Santa service operating to visit Santa’s grotto, along with regular passenger trains operating within the timetable. See this website and Facebook page for full event and booking information.

Standard service passenger trains will also operate at the normal  £2-50 fare during these weekends.

All Santa tickets MUST be booked before 1st November 2020

New Years Day Special.

January 1st 2021.    After a night of seeing in the New Year, why not come and visit us for a chilly train ride on our first running day of the year. This is our only running day until March due to being closed for annual maintenance during Jan and Feb. Public Passenger Trains between 11am and 3:30pm.
